New Gig – Writing for Paula Deen

Cookies, Freelance Work, goodLife{eats} creation, Kid Friendly Recipes | 36 comments

I have a little announcement. Okay, maybe “little” isn’t the right word. I’m pretty excited about it. I think it’s kind of a big deal…

I’ve got a new gig writing for PaulaDeen.com! I’ve been working with Paula’s website team since August, but starting October you’re going to see some pretty cool changes on her website. With a new team of contributing writers (me being one of them!) and a brand new site design Paula is set to make an impact on the web.

I’m going to be contributing monthly and I’ve already gotten October, November, and December articles written. It’s amazing what goes on behind the scenes. Having to write Holiday themed articles months in advance is kind of surreal since I’m so used to blogging in real time. I had to put on one of my favorite Christmas/Winter cdsto get in the mood.

Does that mean changes for goodLife {eats} as well? I’m not ditching this blog in favor of a new, shiny platform for my recipes. I’ll still be here finding the good in the kitchen and in life right along with you several times weekly. And no, I’m not suddenly going to add a stick (or two) of butter to everything.

I hope you’ll check out the test run post of my very first article: Granola Bar Cookies. If you participate in StumbleUpon, I’d love your thumbs up if you enjoy this article and recipe.

Congratulations! Hope you can take all the butter! My favorite Paula Deen recipe ever is deep fried cheesecake — she takes a slice of cheesecake, tops it with chocolate, dips it in batter, deep fries it, adds more chocolate, whipped cream AND powdered sugar. It's insane.

WOW, that is very cool. Your photos are fab! You really take those with a point and shoot camera? Read your article on the granola bar cookies but didn't see anywhere that I could give it a "thumbs up". Found you through Culinary Snapshots.
