Although I love a bold leopard print, by day I’m a lawyer, which leaves little wiggle room in terms of bold fashion statements. I’ve also learned that though most women want to dress in the latest trends, they’d prefer to do it subtly and in a way that fits their style.

The key to working in a more risky pattern like leopard print, is to sprinkle it in small doses.
Embrace trends but fit them into your wardrobe in ways that work for you. Leopard print is funky enough that even in the smallest touches, it’s sure to stand out. My go-to for spicing up any outfit: leopard print heels. Denim is also a great, and trusted, piece of clothing to add a fun pop of leopard to.
A few other pointers for wearing leopard print:
- Don’t shy away from other trends, just stick to solid colors. For instance, a chambray shirt, pencil skirt, and leopard print heels make a gorgeous statement, without being over-the-top.
- Start in small doses – try a leopard print bracelet or clutch first, and then play with bolder pieces as you feel more confident with the pattern.
- Even if you want to mix patterns (and I say go for it!) – keep one piece of your outfit as a solid. (Think floral print blouse, leopard print booties, and sleek black tailored pants.)
