Open the can of chickpeas and drain the chickpeas over the sink using a a strainer or colander. Then, rinse the chickpeas with cold water.

Add the chickpeas, garlic, roasted red pepper, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and cumin to the bowl of a food processor or a high-speed blender.

PULSE

Place the lid on the food processor or blender. Then, pulse the mixture a few times.

BLEND TILL SMOOTH

Scrape the sides down using a spatula, then replace the lid and blend the mixture, scraping the sides down periodically as needed, until the hummus is smooth.

THIN IF NEEDED

If needed, add a tablespoon or two of water and continue to blend.

TASTE
