HOLIDAY RECIPE

Cranberry Bacon Green Beans

Cranberry Bacon Green Beans make a unique Thanksgiving side dish. This easy green bean recipe is loaded with garlic, bacon, cranberries, and chopped walnuts.

Let’s get started!

For a little sweet and a little crunch I topped the green beans with dried cranberries and chopped walnuts.

PREP BACON

1. Cut bacon into bite-sized pieces and cook in a cast iron skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crispy. Alternatively, bake at 425°F, stirring every 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and set aside.

PREP ICE BATH

2. Prepare a large bowl with ice water. Set aside. In a 3 quart saucepan, bring water to a rolling boil.

cook beans

3. Boil green beans for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes, then drain and transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking and preserve color. Once cold, remove and pat dry. Discard the water.
