1. Add the butter to the bowl of a stand mixer. Cream, using the whisk attachment, on high speed until light and fluffy.

2. Add the sugar and beat until dissolved, about 3–5 minutes. Mix in the corn syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, and egg.

3. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the 4 cups of flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

4. Slowly add the flour mixture, 1 cup at a time, to the butter mixture, stirring on low speed using the paddle attachment mix into the butter mixture.
