Are you ready for Valentine’s Day this weekend? We got started a little early and made these fun Valentine’s Day Vanilla Cut-Out Cookies last weekend. The kids had an absolute blast cutting the cookies out and decorating them.

If you’re looking for last minute ideas for kid friendly Valentine’s Day treats, head over to Craftzine for the recipe and lots of step-by-step photos. The cookie and frosting recipe can, of course, be adapted to any holiday you like by using different shapes and colors.

Do you have plans for the weekend? Are you going out with someone special or staying home? If you are cooking at home, I’d love to see your “menu.” Last year I made The Perfect Alfredo and Spinach and Clementine Salad (with romantic music going in the background and the fireplace and candles glowing), but I haven’t decided on this year yet. Whatever you do, I hope you have a great time!
