These bookmarks make fun crafts for kids and also super cute gifts for them to pass out to friends at school.

8 Cute DIY Bookmark Ideas

Ribbon Bookmark or Journal Wrap Tutorial from Craft Snob. I love the brightly colored ruffled ribbon on this!
Jumbo Clip and Ribbon Bookmark from Midnite Scrapper. So simple and pretty! Great way to use up any leftover ribbon. I bet you could also tie thin fabric scraps on the ends too!

Cute but most are too bulky and too thick for my book, those always tend to fall out or just be a pain.

Has anyone ever seen diy bookmarks using zippers? I’ve looked and searched the internet and cannot find any information or anyone who has done this. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Your beginning remarks made me laugh because I do the same thing. Currently, I am using a sock (clean, of course) as a bookmark in one of my books. These ideas are really cute, and I might just have to try making some of them. Thanks for the post!

Wow, these are great ideas! I also never use real bookmarks, mine are either those paint samples (pretty colors at least) or the receipt given at the library (when I’m reading a library book). This is definitely a better option. I’m bookmarking this bookmark page 😉

As a book collector…. Please don’t use paper clips! 🙂 Coated ones are better than metal but they all can damage the pages.
