Change for the Feta – Summer Salad Month

It’s probably safe to say we are officially in full on summer mode. Temperatures are rising and if you’re anything like me you want something cool and refreshing to eat. Salads are the perfect dish to fulfill that need.

I have the exciting opportunity to participate in the Change for the Feta – Summer Salad Month with Athenos Feta Cheese. I am going to show you how to make simple and flavorful salads using feta cheese so your salads will not just be healthy, but exciting and creative too. If you regularly. top your salads with traditional cheese (i.e. cheddar) just switching to Feta can save you on calories and fat, something we are all concerned about. Switching up the cheese you use in a salad can offer a completely different taste and a whole new recipe. Who knows, you might just find you like it better than the old stand-by.

The Change for the Feta – Summer Salad Month campaign will last throughout the month of July. Don’t worry, I’ll still be posting some of my regular content. You’ll just have bonus posts all month long and giveaways every Friday in conjunction with Athenos Feta.

I dug through my archives to find a couple of my favorite recipes featuring feta to share with you today. Bear with my on the photos…these are from my archives after all.

  • Green Bean, Feta, and Dill Pasta Salad
  • Warm Mediterranean Pasta Salad

I can’t wait to get started with some new recipes. I haven’t ever seen the Lemon Garlic Oregano Feta flavor by Athenos before – I am looking forward to trying that one! Sounds delicious! I usually stick to the Traditional or Basil and Tomato flavors. Do you have a favorite way to use Feta? I’d love to hear about it!

    I so love feta. I use it instead of blue cheese dressing on my salad

    I love feta. I currently have a giant brick of it in the fridge too. I suppose that means a recipe is in order.

    I love feta mixed into a cool pesto coated pasta with black olives, tomatoes and whatever other fresh veggies I have on hand.
